Chrome is certainly popular in this show. The German-made Einstein The Final Cut OTL amplifier delivers 60Wpc into 8 ohms and is priced at 24,000 DM.

Jeff Fritz stands proudly beside the British-made Cyrus Icon loudspeaker, which features NXT's flat-panel technology for its midrange and treble frequencies. The price is 7000 DM per pair.

Arcam's FMJ-series components consists of the CD23 CD player for 3498 DM (bottom), the P25 power amplifier for 2448 DM (middle), and the A22 integrated amplifier for 2998 DM (top).

The German-made Magnet MA-300F stereo power amplifier is priced at 4800 DM and delivers 150Wpc.

The Elac 512 loudspeakers uses a "folded-ribbon" tweeter based on Heil tweeter technology. The price of this speaker is 4000 DM per pair.

Turntables are very popular here. The German-made Transrotar Super Seven High End turntable is priced at 4280 DM without tonearm and cartridge.

Germany's HGP speakers showed their upgradeable speakers that go from "Mono" to "Ronda." The Mono is shown on the right and is a high-quality monitor loudspeaker that is intended to be used as a main speaker and center-channel. The price per Mono is 2400 DM each. The company calls its stand the "carrier" and will allow the user to upgrade the Mono to Ronda status (shown left) with the addition of a powered subwoofer. The full Ronda is 12,000 DM per pair.

The Reson RL906 is an fully powered loudspeaker that uses a coaxial two-way driver and is priced at 10,000 DM per pair.

The Fischer & Fischer SL-1000 loudspeaker and SL-1000 subwoofer (left) are priced at 65,000 DM and 67,000 DM per pair, respectively. This speaker is very unique in that it uses slate for its entire cabinet construction. One SL-1000 loudspeaker alone weights 250 Kg.

The Amphion Argon bookshelf loudspeaker from Finland is priced at 2800 DM per pair.

The German-made Bunzow Jewel speaker uses a 4" driver, sits on a table-top, and is price at 2990 DM each.

The bulky Emitter 2 HD integrated amplifier from Germany is 12,300 DM.

Shown is Electrocompanient's prototype of the forthcoming EMD 1 DVD-A player. No price was given.

The Manger 103 loudspeaker uses the company's proprietary flat driver for midrange and high frequencies. The price is 15,000 DM per pair.
