British loudspeaker manufacturer
B&W unveiled its latest line of CDM-series speakers. The CDM 7NT (left) retails for

Norbert Lehmann proudly displays his
newest product. No, we're not talking about the Black Cube phono stage that's in his hand
(although the impressive little box has garnered many raves and our own Reviewers' Choice
award); instead we're talking about his latest version of the DAC+, which now incorporates
upsampling. The DAC+ has a volume control, so you can potentially use it as Lehmann is at
the show -- as a full-function D/A converter and preamplifier. Look for the product to be
released in the fall of this year -- price to be determined. Existing DAC+ owners will
also be able to upgrade their units.

Jeff Fritz kept saying, "I'm

Technics demoed a track from their DVD sampler disc ("God's Gonna Set This World on
Fire" by Linda Tillery) that wowed Jeff with startlingly clear vocals from almost
anywhere in the room and subtle surround ambience.
