The Cadence Canasya amplifier came all the way from India for this show. This attractive triode-based, hybrid monoblock amplifier delivers 200W into 6 ohms. The price is 37,700 DM per pair.

Accuphase has jumped on the SACD bandwagon. The DC101 is the first separate SACD digital-to-analog converter on the market and is priced at 29,500 DM. Its companion is the DP100 transport (not shown) that is priced at 26,900 DM.

"This is just plain cool," Jeff says as he holds Bow Technologies of Denmark's remote control for the 9800 DM Wizard CD player.

Sony aims SACD for the mass market. The SCD-XB940QS player will play SACDs and CDs (but not DVD-A, CD-R or CD-RW) and is priced at 1700 DM.

JVC showed a prototype of their gorgeously-built XV-D9000 DVD-A player. The player will reportedly be on the market in 2001.
