CEDIA is the picture of
people-moving efficiency. Shuttle buses run every few minutes from various areas around
Indianapolis to the Convention Center.

And with all of those buses, it's
inevitable that as the day moves on, the crowds become thicker and thicker.

Kenwood's booth (top picture) was
decidely upscale, but the vibe in its DVD-Audio demo area was '60s dorm room.

A study in show-display contrasts:
the RCA booth, with its more traditional, product-focused layout...

...and the eye-catching booth from
First Impressions Theme Theaters. The company name says it all.

Jim Thiel of Thiel Audio explains
the features and intricacies of his soon-to-be-available SW1 subwoofer at a
Saturday-morning press conference.

Also at the Thiel press conference,
this interactive Excel spreadsheet for simulating the frequency response of a subwoofer
helped explain in a graphic way the principles behind Thiel's subwoofer.

It took some arm-twisting from a PR
person, but Bob Stuart (left) and Andy Regan of Meridian took a break from their hectic
CEDIA activity to pose together for us.
