Howie Long look-alike Jeff Fritz poses next to the new Blue Circle Audio BC32 amplifier, which can be purchased with five or six channels. Its clear Plexiglas front panel is backed by one of black Plexiglas, giving the amp a distinctive look. As you can tell, Jeff likes it. Blue Circle's Gilbert Yeung said that neon pink is also a possible color for the faceplate, and the amplifier can be ordered with the RCA jacks mounted on the top rear.

A new line of electronics has come from an old name in Canadian audio, Victor Sima. Victor's new company is called Linar and includes numerous products. Shown are the 250 stereo amplifier (center bottom, $4395 CDN) and 2 preamplifier (center top, $3250 CDN). They were used in this room to drive the $15,000 Opera Sauvage speakers from Gershman Acoustics.

This is the first look at Assemblage's new D2D-1 digital-to-digital converter priced at $699. According to the literature provided, this unique product "upsamples from as low as 32kHz to 96kHz" and "interpolates word lengths from 16 bits to 24 bits." Assemblage also says the unit does jitter attenuation that "begins at 10Hz with intrinsic jitter less that 2 pico-seconds." The D2D-1 is slated for release in mid-April.

The Equation Gaya speaker ($29,000 per pair CDN) is distributed by Mutine, Inc., the same company that handles the fine Audiomat line of electronics from France.

Totem Acoustic's first electronic product is the 120Wpc Amber integrated amp ($6500 CDN), which is a dual-mono, remote-controlled design.

Simaudio's new Moon audio/video products made their debut at CES 2000 in Las Vegas. The series includes the $17,500 Rock amplifier (above) and Attraction digital processor (below).

The Moon Attraction A/V processor retails for $4995 and has single-ended and balance outputs for all audio connections, including subwoofer.
