The Danish Physics Point Zero One loudspeaker features iron-shard-impregnated damping material. The price is 4900 DM per pair.

MartinLogan showed their new prototype subwoofer -- price and availability to be announced.

McIntosh showed a prototype of their new MHT100AC 7.1-channel surround receiver. The power rating is 5x100W and 2x50W. Once again, pricing and availability will be announced.

The folks at Exposure were particularly proud to show this rack of equipment because they said it is the first time they've had a full line of components in their 2010 series. Brand new is the 2010 tuner (1564 DM, second from top) and 2010 power amplifier (1858 DM, bottom). Components also in the series are the 2010 CD player (1858 DM, top) and 2010 integrated amplifier (1564 DM, second from bottom).

France's JMlab introduced the Electra 926 loudspeaker priced at 7000 DM per pair.

Also new in the JMlab Electra series is CC 900 center-channel speaker. The price is 2200 DM. Also in the series is the bookshelf-sized 906 (3500 DM) and the floorstanding 936 (10,000 DM), which can be seen in our Face and Places coverage.

Naim Electronics of Britain introduced the Allae loudspeaker priced at 6500 DM per pair. The speaker features a de-coupled upper cabinet that houses the midrange/woofer.

Germany's MBL showed their full suite of products, including two debuts. The 111RC center-channel speaker is 10,800 DM. The 9800 DM 5010D multichannel analog processor (silver unit at front and center on the floor) is unique in that it functions in the analog domain.

Lehmann Audio of Germany unveiled their new $1800 USD Silver Cube phono stage. It features a more advanced circuit design than the Black Cube, along with better parts and a chassis milled from a solid piece of aluminum.

A picture is worth a thousand words -- spoken or in song. The Elac Imago is based on NXT loudspeaker technology. The framed photo above (measuring 50 by 70 cm) is actually a loudspeaker, and the company offers this print as well as 149 other designs.
