Another sighting of Wilson Audio's newest
speaker, the Sophia ($11,700/pair). Marc Mickelson has a pair in for review right now --
in gloss-black finish.

The Cinema 90 system ($936 with powered
subwoofer) is Paradigm's newest "fits in your hand" home-theater speaker array.

PS Audio demonstrated the effectiveness of its new line of
power products, using a variac to adjust line voltage. From top to bottom are the Director
($1495), Producer ($2495), and Editor ($2795). The director includes UPS functionality,
while the Editor is a power regulator.

Soliloquy's 6.0 loudspeaker will be available
in early 2002 for around $1500 per pair.

The new AAD E48 ($699/pair) looked to be a
tremendous value with its side-mounted woofer and eye-catching finish.

Tannoy's new EFX-1 surround speaker
($600/pair) is bipole/dipole switchable and available in black or white paintable finish.
Grilles are included.

Totem Acoustic's new Dreamcatcher home-theater
speaker system caught the eye of many CEDIA attendees, who like us wondered immediately
about its price: $1595.

The Transparent Audio Opus MM speaker cables
and interconnects have carbon-fiber shells near their ends and encasing their networks.
The price is steep -- $ 29,750 for eight-foot speaker cables, $8500/meter pair
for single-ended interconnects, and $15,000 for one-meter balanced interconnects.

Nottingham Analogue's US distributor,
Audiophile Systems, displayed the Spacedeck with Heavy graphite-fiber upgrade package
($2500) and Spacearm tonearm ($999). The optional speed-controllable motor supply shown to
the right is $1200.
