Series 2

Shown in preliminary forms, the Anthem
Director (top, $6000-$7000) preamp/processor features dual Motorola processing engines and
every imaginable processing mode, including DTS 96/24. The Channel 5 amp (approximately
$5000) will deliver 325 watts to five channels and requires two AC cords. A two-channel
version will also be available. Both products should be in stores in early 2003.

Also shown in preliminary form is Paradigm's
Signature 200 (approximately $7500 per pair), which uses new custom-designed drivers with
diecast aluminum chassis. The veneer on the speakers displayed was stunning, especially
the rosewood shown above.

Utilizing MartinLogan's first new
electrostatic panel in 20 years, the Clarity ($2700 per pair) features a sonically welded
cabinet and glass-reinforced frame. It includes a Natural Ambience Compensation circuit to
eliminate beaming and enhance high frequencies when standing or listening off-axis.

Also new from MartinLogan is the Depth
subwoofer ($1795, shown left), which evolved from the company's Descent (right). The
servo-controlled Depth uses three 8" drivers and features a proprietary switching
amp. It is said to come within 5dB of the Descent's performance for $1000 less.
