Recently, legendary speaker designer Paul
Klipsch passed away. He's well known for a number of innovative designs, and most
audiophiles will readily recognize his corner-mounted Klipschorn loudspeaker. The German
distributor of Klipsch speakers made somewhat of a fitting tribute to Paul Klipsch with an
exciting display of the legendary Klipschorns, and his posters dared to ask the question: dBs
or not dBs? Walking into the room, we were confronted with an elaborate display
consisting of large Aragon amplifiers, numerous trees and plants, stuffed animals, and
even toy cars. All in all, the Klipschorns proved just how loud and clean they can play --
and still do, even in relation to much newer designs. As the slogan on the car says, Paul
Klipsch was indeed "A Legend in Sound."
