47 Lab's new Shigaraki lineup includes a CD
transport ($2995 CAD), DAC ($2145 CAD) and integrated amp ($2545 CAD), all of which offer
a large share of the performance of the equivalent units in the company's standard line
for far less money. They were shown with custom-made Symposium shelves with recessed areas
for the Shigaraki components. 47 Labs and Symposium products were displayed by Canadian
distributor Foss Audio.

Another Canadian speaker developed via
measurements done at the National Research Council in Ottawa is the Ethera Seraph
($2450/pair), which is available wood-grain and glossy colored finishes.

Talon Audio's Khorus X ($16,000 per pair)
looked stunning in birdseye crimson finish with black accents.

Another speaker that's a looker is the Focus
Audio FS888 in burl high-gloss finish. The price is $6750 per pair.

Pierre Gabriel has become the Jadis
distributor in Canada. Its commanding Master Presence speaker ($35,000/pair CAD) uses a
ribbon tweeter and is finished to a very high level. It was driven by -- what else? --
Jadis amps.

The newest amp from Aloia is the ST15.01
stereo model ($5495) that delivers 60Wpc. The separate inductive power supply is on top in
this picture.

Two speakers and a powered subwoofer from
Piega. From left to right are the P5 Special Edition ($8425/pair), P SUB 1 ($2000), which
includes high- and low-pass functionality, and P10 ($9995/pair).

Part of Angstrom's modular series of A/V
speakers is the Model Four minimonitor ($899/pair CAD), which sits atop the Model Eight
120W powered subwoofer ($799/each CAD). The 6C center-channel speaker is also available
top round out a home-theater system.
