Something old, something new. Distributor
Globe A/V used a pair of Audio Aero Prestige mono amps ($20,000/pair) to drive a pair of
reconditioned Quad ESL 57 speakers. When asked the price of the Quad speakers, Globe A/V's
Matt Brazeau replied, "How much you got?" Something tells us he was turning down
offers left and right.

The Zingali speaker line keeps growing -- or
maybe it's that distributor O.S. Services keeps bringing in new models. From left to right
are the Overture 4S ($7595/pair), Overture 1S ($2995/pair) and Overture 1B ($1495/pair).
O.S. Services is offering all three models at prices $500-$1000 lower until July 1, 2002.

The speaker we encountered with the highest
quoted sensitivity was the Moondog Audio Maya Horn ($24,995/pair CAD) at 107dB. They were
driven by Moondog Audio Yote mono amps ($6595/pair), which output 3 watts each.

The Song Audio SA-300 mono amps ($4900/pair
CAD) and two-box SA-1 preamp ($4500 CAD) made beautiful music with...

...Song Audio's Type II Silk DM speakers
($3600/pair CAD).

US-based distributor Blue Cow Audio drove
two-piece S.A.P Quartette speakers ($10,000/pair) with a 300B-based push-pull tube amp
custom made by Deja Vu Audio in McLean, Virginia ($6200).

Billed as "a departure for Creek"
because of its "uncharted" $2995 CAD price, the Creek CD53 is the first CD
player in the company's 53 series of components.

Gershman Acoustics drove their sleek Cameleon
loudspeakers ($1799/pair) with inexpensive electronics from Rega. Look for a future SoundStage!
