The Fuzzy-Boy speaker cable from Big Shot Audio made its
debut in Montreal, and we have the "world exclusive" photo of it. The
double-wide diameter is said to have a geometry that allows "only good music
electrons to flow through while stopping anti-music electrons dead in their tracks."
The cable uses a revolutionary "pressed-ham construction" and 6.3Ns copper
conductors, but color is perhaps its most radical design feature. The Judy Garland Red
version is said to "elicit a more sympathetic sound," and it scored a 97%
favorable rating under triple-blind conditions in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to prove it. The
company has experimented with Bullwinkle Chartreuse, but it created "an adenoidal
tonal balance." Britney Blue is in the works for "older systems that need some
get up and go." The solid-silver, 14-pound "J-Hook" connectors are said to
provide a more "ballsy/grabby" presentation.
Fuzzy-Boy will be sold Internet-direct at a price of
$10,000/pair CAD only -- no other currency accepted, receipts won't be provided, and the
warranty expires as soon as the money changes hands. The cables are said to be the first
in a line of Big Shot Audio products, including speakers, amplifiers, clock radios, chip
clips, latex headwear, and leather surf gear. |
