While Big Shot Audio was making all the headlines with the
static products they displayed in Montreal, the engineers at Blue Circle Audio worked
feverishly and startled the audio world with their Music Pump ($799/pair) mirror-imaged
mono power amplifiers and Music Purse preamplifier ($599). "Big Shot is B.S.!"
was muttered near the Blue Circle room. Unlike the B.S. boys, the B.C. gang had an active
display, and knowing how much the Italians value fashion, they used their boutique
products to power that country’s Opera loudspeakers. What’s next? Speakers sewn
into an Armani suit? Never underestimate today’s audio designers.
