When Marc Mickelson declared the Merlin
VSM-SEs to be "an unqualified success" in his October 1997 review, he
must have suspected that audiophiles would grow to love this speaker. They have, as the
Merlins enjoy a following that most products can only envy. While the speaker continues to
be refined, the basic design has withstood the test of time. At every show and in every
review, Merlin speakers have impressed the SoundStage! gang with their musically
resolving sound, earning Bobby Palkovic and crew a place of honor in our audio hall of
fame.
