A pair of Wavelength Triton Signature
monoblocks ($10,000 per pair) drove JMlab Mini Utopia speakers in the Wavelength/Nirvana

The Exact Power 2000 power-correction system
($2495) can produce 2000 watts of power for the components plugged into it.

The EgglestonWorks Savoy ($39,999 per pair)
debuted at CES 2001.

The Marsh Sound Design A400S stereo amplifier
(left, $2300) and HT500s three-channel amp ($1995) appeared to be and sounded like
high-value products.

The Nova Applause S ($15,000 per pair) is a
powered speaker utilizing Threshold Pro amplification. Among the musical selections Nova
played were true 24-bit digital masters.

The Generation III version of the popular Von
Schweikert VR-4 speaker ($3995 per pair) sounded very good with Bel Canto amplification
and Analysis Plus cables.

The GW Labs Cyclops ($895) is a 12Wpc
integrated amp that the company recommends for two-channel-music or computer use.

JPS Labs' new Aluminata power cord ($3499 in
two-meter length) eclipses the company's Kaptovator in price -- as well as many other
power cords.

The Alón Exotica Grand Reference is a
four-tower speaker system that retails for $120,000. It filled the Alón room sonically
and visually.

The large Rockport Hyperion speaker ($86,500
per pair) proved difficult to photograph because of its highly polished black finish.

O.S. Services distributes both Audion and
Cadence electronics. On the outside are the Audion Golden Dreams SET amps ($15,795 per
pair), which output 22 watts each. Inside, the Cadence Canasya amps ($24,995 per pair) are
hybrids that use 845 tubes and offer 200 watts each.

Among the new Bright Star Audio products for
CES 2001 is the Rack of Gibralter 4 ($999; $1999 with four Gemini platforms) with hardwood
trim.

Coincident Speaker Technology played the Total
Eclipse (left, $7999 per pair) and Partial Eclipse ($2995 per pair) at various times in
its room.
