The American Acoustic Development (AAD) E6
subwoofer comes packaged with five E30 "cube" satellite speakers, one pair of
stands, and 25 meters of speaker cable. The total system retails for $840, and each item
is available separately (although individual pricing has not been set).

Krell's CAST FPB amplifiers have all been
upgraded, and each of the models now produces 100Wpc more power and costs only $500 more
than its predecessor. From top to bottom are the FPB-300cx ($8000), FPB-400cx ($10,500),
and FBP-700cx ($14,500) stereo amplifiers. Krell also released similarly upgraded mono
amplifiers.

Musical Fidelity displayed a few new products,
including the CD-PRE24 combination CD player/preamplifier (bottom) that retails for $3295.
The CD player's digital-to-analog section features 24-bit resolution with upsampling up to
192kHz. On top is the A324 192 Upsampling DAC that retails for $1195.

Outlaw Audio released the IR 1000 Internet
radio tuner priced at $299. The IR 1000 can connect to the Internet with either regular
dial-up or high-speed DSL and uses technology developed by Arrio Communications, Inc., a
company developing "technology solutions for the Internet consumer communications
market."

PS Audio showed their $1495 HCA-1
digital-switching amplifier. It can output 150W into 8 ohms and 300W into 4 ohms, and the
company claims it runs 93% efficient.

Sharp showed the $1799 SD-SH111 combination
DVD player/receiver for home theater. It supports Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS and will also
output six-channel DVD-Audio. It uses the company's 1-bit digital amplifier technology.

Snell Acoustics showed XA 2900H Reference LCR
loudspeaker priced at $7500 each. The company says it is currently the only THX
Ultra2-certified speaker on the market.

Denmark's Tact Audio, makers of electronics
such as their digital amplifier and room-correction device, now makes speakers. Above is
the C1 center-channel speaker that is part of their new loudspeaker system specifically
made to match with Tact's electronics.

Velodyne, best known for their subwoofer
products, showed the Deco home-theater speaker system priced at $1199. It comes with five
matched satellite speakers and powered subwoofer, and the company says the subwoofer has,
in true Velodyne fashion, an 8" high-excursion driver and a 600W built-in amplifier.
